How To Make The Career Fair A Success For Your Company

Exhibitor set-up time is 9:30, make sure you arrive early so you are ready to go when the first attendees arrive.

Show your excitement. Be professional and excited about your business and the opportunities you are recruiting for!

Make sure you have someone at your booth at all times.

Find ways to draw candidates to your booth - whether it be raffles, prizes, candy etc...

Have an attention grabbing booth - you company may have an elaborate floor display or company products to display.

Wear a nametag - let the candidates know who you are and what you do for the company.

Have a complete list of your openings - talk to the other departments in your company and let them know that you will be attending and see if they have any openings you can inform the candidates of.

Bring the hiring managers to the event. Let the candidates hear about the opportunities directly from the hiring manager, this will make them feel more engaged.

Bring your BEST EMPLOYEES to the event. This is such a great reward for the employee. Give candidates an opportunity to hear a testimonial directly from your own STAR employee about why they should join your company.

You will meet TONS of job seekers - Good practice to write notes on hire resumes so when you get back to the office, you can remember the people that you spoke with!

Have a follow up action plan after the event... Are you going to invite them to an Open House, maybe set up a future interview?

Stay till the end of the event, you never know, your next hire could be walking through the door at the end of the day!

Collect every resume, event if they are not qualified or don't have any positions for them at the moment. This way you can track how many candidates you met with at the event. This way, you can then match your stats against what you receive online to track your ROI with the event.

Best of luck at the Career Fair!
